QWhat is settlement agency?
A:  Frontier Answers

Virginia law allows lay settlement agents to conduct real estate closings.  Title insurance agencies are one of those entities allowed by law to perform such services.  As a title insurance and settlement company, Frontier is licensed to act as settlement agent for any type of real estate transaction.  This means that we cannot only take care of those duties tied directly to the title to the property but we can also conduct the closing of the loan.

As a settlement company, Frontier will receive and review your loan documents.  We will order such things as loan payoffs, homeowner's insurance, surveys and deeds.  On your closing day, we will review with you all documentation related to your purchase of refinance.  After witnessing your signature to these documents, we will proceed to recordation, submit payment to all parties and prepare the necessary title insurance policies for you and your lender.
